PictoColor’s iCorrect Portrait Ps plug-in (for Photoshop, Elements, and PaintShop Pro) is known for it’s “Point and Click” approach to color correction and PictoColor’s proprietary Skin Tone Technology which makes color correcting people photos a breeze. What we don’t often talk about are the time saving workflow features built into iCorrect Portrait that really streamlines portrait color correction. This video tutorial shows explains these features and how any portrait, wedding, school or sports photographer can save hours color correcting photos.

New iCorrect Portrait Video Tutorial–Productivity Features
PictoColor’s iCorrect Portrait Photoshop Plug-in is, according to many wedding, sports, school and portrait photographers, the Best Shortcut to Perfect Color because of its proprietary skin tone technology and point and click approach to color correction. In addition to making it easy to get the color right iCorrect Portrait’s time saving workflow options, custom settings, memory colors, and integrated sharpening and noise removal will dramatically shorten the time you will have to sit in front of the computer color correcting photos. This tutorial will show you how to use the Start with and Custom Settings features of iCorrect Portrait to speed up your imaging workflow.
As an iCorrect Portrait user recently said. “Getting the color balance right was a huge challenge until I discovered iCorrect Portrait. I went from guessing and testing to picture perfect in a click. I can’t tell you how important to my process this tool is, and how many hours of tedium you have saved me.” For more information on iCorrect Portrait and to try it for yourself go to www.pictocolor.com/portrait.htm.
Uwe Steinmueller of Digital Outback Photo magazine website posted a new article, iCorrect Editlab Pro for your Photoshop Workflow, describing how he uses iCorrect Editlab Pro to set white balance in Photoshop.
“Normally we correct the white balance (WB) in the raw converter. Because we don’t care much about any absolute correct WB we often want to tune the WB later too. There is no real one-click WB correction tool available directly in Photoshop. For many years now we use iCorrect Editlab Pro in these cases. Here is our standard workflow.” Click to read complete article.
We recommend reading Digital Outback Photo postings on a regular basis. His magazine is an independent magazine fully dedicated to photography using professional digital cameras (often SLRs). For all content of his magazine the quality of the photo is a main criteria. This includes composition, message, colors, stories and technique.

What is OneClick Color Technology?
OneClick Color Technology, the foundation of iCorrect OneClick Photoshop Plug-in, is based on Pictographics award winning Color Edit technology used in iCorrect EditLab Pro plug-in and iCorrect EditLab ProApp stand alone application. OneClick is, in fact, a “hardwired version” of EditLab Pro’s SmartColor Wizard configured to simplify color correction of photos to a single click and serve as an entry level to PictoColor’s advanced color correction software. There is a simple way to configure EditLab’s SmartColor Preference Settings so that it acts just like OneClick. A new EditLab tutorial will lead you through the process.
EditLab Pro (both the plug-in and stand alone versions) Settings for OneClick SmartColor Operation
If you already have iCorrect EditLab Pro Plug-in or ProApp stand alone you might want to try the OneClick operation to see how it improves your color workflow. If you don’t you can download the demo version. If you are a OneClick user you can purchase the Upgrade version of iCorrect EditLab Pro.
A few OneClick customers have been using EditLab Pro with the OneClick settings and they said that the OneClick results are the same. And, they have fallen in love with EditLab. Here is what one customer told us.
“I think knowing the background of how 1Click was developed from EditLab gave me an insight of how powerful Edit Lab is. Knowing this I can use it like 1Click or I can use further controls within EditLab. I believe that I am becoming a convert in using EditLab.” Jesse B. Fair Oaks, CA, a long time user of OneClick plug-in.
We received this question from a prospect in Malaysia today so I thought I would share my answer. I recommended iCorrect EditLab technology, either iCorrect EditLab Pro Photoshop Plug-in or iCorrect EditLab ProApp Stand Alone Application that is also compatible with Lightroom. If he used both Photoshop and Lightroom I recommended iCorrect EditLab Pro PowerSuite which includes both at a special bundle price.
The reasons behind this recommendation are color accuracy and speed. Wedding photographers need both accurate color and they need the color correction process to be fast and easy. When you take thousands of shots at a wedding you don’t want to spend hours and hours sitting at the computer color correcting photos. iCorrect EditLab Pro has been a favorite of wedding photographers for many years because of the ease of making the color right and the productivity features in both the plug-in and stand alone. Historically, Photoshop was the primary program used to process photos and, hence, the plug-in version was the preferred option. Now, however, with so many photographers shooting in RAW and using Lightroom to organize and edit the photos the stand alone version is the preferred choice. The ProcessQ function in EditLab ProApp really speeds up the process.
I also directed the prospect to PictoColor’s Learning Center where there are videos and tutorial showing how to use the EditLab color correction technology in both Photoshop and Lightroom and, specifically, how EditLab can streamline your RAW color workflow.
So, if you are a wedding photgrapher with thousands of photos to correct you should take a look at how iCorrect EditLab Pro Technology can Streamline your Color Workflow in both Photoshop and Lightroom.
The second edition of PictoScript Newsletter for August is now available and we continue our focus on how iCorrect EditLab Pro technology helps to streamline Adobe Camera RAW color workflow. In the first edition we highlighted iCorrect EditLab ProApp working with Adobe Lightroom. The second edition describes how iCorrect EditLab Pro Plug-in streamlines your Photoshop RAW workflow. In the August issue of PictoScript we continue our celebration of the ten year anniversary of PictoColor’s iCorrect software highlighting our standalone version of iCorrect EditLab, iCorrect EditLab ProApp. While iCorrect EditLab Pro plug-in simplified and sped up the process of color correcting images, the “file handling overhead” of Photoshop still made color correcting large volumes of photos (such as wedding photos) a time consuming chore. So, in 2003 we introduced iCorrect EditLab Stand Alone Application for high speed color correcting of JPEG and TIFF files.
ProcessQ Batch Processing
In 2007, we redesigned the ProcessQ batch processing function and added new workflow features resulting in the fastest color correction application available. Wedding photographers claim they can color correct 500+ photos per hour with iCorrect EditLab ProApp.
